Baskonia will be facing Real Madrid in Vitoria, Tuesday (14/11), for Round 7 of the EuroLeague season and the challenge will be a great one, according to head coach Pedro Martinez.
“Real Madrid is a great team with many good players. It will be a very complicated match,” Martinez said as reported by EFE. “They will come to the game convinced that they can beat us. “We will try to play our best possible game with humility and desire.”
Martinez considers the “Blancos” the strongest team in the competition, along with reigning champion Fenerbahce.
“Real Madrid and Fenerbahce are now the best teams in Europe,” he commented.
Baskonia stands at a 1 – 5 record after starting the EuroLeague season with four defeats in a row, while Real Madrid is now 4-2 following its road defeat to Maccabi in Tel Aviv.
