Unicaja Malaga head coach Joan Plaza commented how they are dealing with injuries after the game against Real Madrid

Coach Joan Plaza talked about the injuries in the competition: “I have always said that it is bad to overexploit the players. We should all debate it because it is a generalized problem. We shouldn’t talk about this during the season and less when we lose. You must try to win every game, but if you try to come back and you don’t win it, you are going to pay the effort”.

He also congratulated his rival for the game and the victory: “The team who deserved the most, who made fewer mistakes won the game. It is not just about Real Madrid‘s quality or Luka Doncic getting 10 rebounds. If you make 16 turnovers it’s difficult to compete. We allowed too many three-pointers after offensive rebound.”

Pablo Laso spoke about his injured players and the way his team is reacting: “The doctor was “happy” with Anthony Randolph’s injury because it could have been worse. He needs a break for 15-20 days from everything. Tavares has to get used to the European game, he has a lot of room for improvement. The numbers speak well and he has been important for us. We can take this situation because Randolph, Ayón and Llull are going to return. I don’t think that Kuzmic will play again this season” Laso added.
