The Greek coach said after the game against Crvena Zvezda: “I think today we deserved to win the game because we controlled the rhythm from the beginning to the end. We were very focused, very determined to play a good game. Defensively, we stopped our opponents except for a few moments, but in general, we had a good defensive game. And on offense, we had a lot of players who moved the ball very good and we had the best option to shoot. I think the point difference, in the end, showed how we played tonight.”
Olympiacos has a deep roster and that was one of the factors of the game: “It’s very important to continue fighting although you are without your maximum energy. All the teams in back-to-backs have to use the roster, and this is what we did. Tonight, I think everybody who played gave their maximum. For sure we had some players who we didn’t use to their usual extent, but this is normal and this is the good thing about the team. We have a lot of players who can play together and support each other. If you see, we don’t have anyone who scored big, but all of them scored a lot, so this is the most important, the team.”
