Valencia approved a €3,5 million increase of the 2017-2018 season budget that will now reach a sum of €16.367.000, Spanish news agency EFE reports.

This above number was necessary to cover expenses such a share capital increase, raises in salaries, more players in the team’s active roster, traveling via private plane in EuroLeague games and a boost to the club’s Women’s Basketball department.

This decision was approved by club president Vicente Sola, vice president and CEO Paco Raga and director of administration Esteban Gallego.

In the statement following the outcome of the major shareholders’ meeting, the club announced that it will continue the management model that “has led us through the last eight season and culminated to winning the Spanish League title.”
