Nando De Colo notched a double-double of 18 points and a career-high-tying 11 assists for 30 PIR, as CSKA Moscow beat Barcelona 92 – 78 at home to remain at the top of the standings with a 8 – 2 record.

The French duo of Kevin Seraphin (11 points, 6 rebounds) and Thomas Heurtel (11 points, 5 assists) weren’t enough for Barcelona that dropped to 4-6 after failing to hold back a late surge by their opponents.

With the score 75 – 75 at the mid of the fourth quarter CSKA made a 13 – 0 run that gave them an 88 – 75 lead with 1:38 remaining and pretty much cemented their victory. Cory Higgins dropped 6 out of his 20 points during that period, while also adding 5 rebounds and 3 assists.

Sergio Rodriguez was also instrumental in his team’s efforts down the stretch, scoring 6 points, dishing out 2 assists and even registering his sixth EuroLeague block ever, to bounce back from a 0-point, -5 PIR display in the first 30 minutes.

Barca was dangerous for 35 minutes and even held the advantage at sporadic moments of the game thanks to also Adam Hanga (10 points) and Peteri Koponen (10 points). But they couldn’t keep up with the Russian squad when the latter turned the heat up in the fourth.
