The lack of shots in the last minutes of the game was a key aspect of Barcelona’s defeat for Sito Alonso.

Barcelona head coach Sito Alonso didn’t like the reaction he saw from his players against the 13 – 0 run that CSKA Moscow completed and thanks to which it won the game.

“We have lost an opportunity, especially in the first twenty minutes. We are turning the ball over because we didn’t choose well the things we had to do in the first 20 minutes. They played much better in the last three minutes when the game was tight. And then they played incredibly. We have to improve to win this kind of teams away from home. These last minutes when things are tight, you have to be a little bit harder,” Alonso said.

“It’s very important always to try to shot the ball. In the last three minutes, we didn’t shot three or four times. We didn’t shot. We had turnovers or fast break when without finishing hard. When you don’t shoot 3-4 times in the last minutes, you cannot win. We have to improve that,” he added.
