CSKA will honor the 90th anniversary of Alexander Gomelsky with a special game

On the 20th of January CSKA Moscow will host a special game dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Alexander Yakovlevich Gomelsky.

The “Army Team” will honor the iconic coach who passed away on the 16th August 2005 and he was born on the 18th of January 1928.

The “Legends of CSKA Moscow” will face the “Legends of Europe” and among the former players who have already confirmed their presence are the following: Andrei Kirilenko, Igor Kudelin, Sergey Panov, Eugene Kisurin, Valery Dayneko, Sergei Bazarevich, Julius Nwosu, Nikita Morgunov, Gordan Giricek, Ramunas Siskauskas, Matjaz Smodis, Theodoros Papaloukas, Gintaras Einikis, Andrei Fetisov, Igor Kurashov, Dejan Bodiroga, Sasha Danilovic, Gregor Fucka, Pierluigi Marzorati, Antoine Rigaudeau, Mikhail Mikhailov, Oded Kattash, Mirsad Turkan, Ibrahim Kutluay, Fragiskos Alvertis and Radoslav Nesterovich.

JR Holden, Marcus Brown, Markus Webb, Arvydas Sabonis, Hedo Turkoglu and others are yet to be confirmed. The coaches of the game will be Stanislav Eremin, Dusan Ivkovic and Ivan Edeshko and it seems that Moscow will be the place to be on January.
