Eurohoops caught up with KC Rivers after the game and he talked on the upcoming tough game against Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade, the team’s position, Nick Calathes’ absence and the 7-0 home court record.

The 30-year-old guard expects a tough game in Belgrade: “It will be a hostile environment, with a tough atmosphere. It is reverse for us, because we usually have the tough atmosphere. We have to play our basketball, stay together as a team, like we did tonight and do what we can do get a win.”

He also commented on the Panathinaikos being in the top-4: “I think our confidence is high enough. We have one loss against a good Zalgiris team, but for the most part we have been playing well. It is the little things we have to do to keep getting better and staying together as a unit is the most important thing.”

Moreover, KC Rivers stated how the team collectively managed to fill in Nick Calathes’ gap against Maccabi: “We were very confident. We have a lot of guys who can handle the, can attack, and create for everybody. The assists were spread out amongst many of us, and as a team we managed to cover what Nick does.”

Finally, Rivers commented on the team’s 7-0 home court record: “Its good for us. The crowd is behind us. We all played well collectively, we shared the ball and overall everything went great.”
