The Greeks prevailed 69-63 in a close game and improved their record to 10-4 while the home team suffered its ninth loss this season (5-9).

With two minutes left on the clock, Crvena Zvezda was trailing by three points (63-66), thanks to James Feldeine’s free-throws who completed a 5-0 run. However, the hosts missed five shots in the final 40 seconds, including Feldeine’s three-pointer that could tie the game at 66 with 25 seconds remaining.

KC Rivers with one free throw and Matt Lojeski with two more sealed the final score for the Greens. Panathinaikos played with fire, entering the last stretch of the game with a 64-55 lead but letting Zvezda get really close. Still, the Serbs couldn’t steal the game in the end.

The star: For the second straight game James Gist was impressive. He finished with 16 points and six rebounds and he also made key defensive plays down the stretch. Marcus Denmon also added 16 points off the bench.

The key: Panathinaikos‘ defense was more crucial for the final result. The Greens allowed just 63 points from their opponents, playing great on-ball defense.

The game: With Gist starting off hot with 10 points in the first quarter, the Greens had the lead but feisty Zvezda was trailing just by three points at halftime (41-38).

In the second half, got for the first time a double-digit lead (53-42), but in the end, everything was decided on details.

Not enough: Against his former team, James Feldeine was on point, scoring 21 points.
