Real Madrid dominated the entire game and registered its second win of the week after defeating Brose Baskets Bamberg 81 – 66 on the road. “Los Blancos” improve to 8-6 and remain among the main contenders for the playoffs.

The key: It was raining threes in the first quarter, especially from the guests’ side. Trey Thompkins (10 p.) and Fabien Causeur (8 p.) with a couple of shots made from downtown paced Real in the first ten minutes (29 – 13). Madrid knew how to keep the lead after that.

Daniel Hackett and Brose Bamberg tried to cut the deficit (36-24, 14′) but Luka Doncic kept a 15-point lead at the half with 6 assists off the bench. The Slovenian prospect had 7 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds.

Real Madrid started feeding Walter Tavares who was great in both ends of the floor and they took their biggest lead with 68 – 46 (28′). The former NBAer finished the night with 9 points, 10 boards, and one block. The German champs had the chance to make it a competitive game but they missed four consecutive threes and Real closed the game the right way.

The star: Trey Thompkins led all scorers with 20 points. Former Bamberg player Fabien Causer contributed with 13 points for the winners.

Not enough: Daniel Hackett (13 p.) and Lucca Staiger (12.) combined for 7 three-pointers but they were alone.
