Panathinaikos will travel to Spain for Thursday’s (28/12) EuroLeague game against Valencia minus starting point guard Nick Calathes, the club announced.

The EuroLeague MVP of the Month for November has yet to recover from a first-degree bruise on his left shoulder, an injury he sustained during the match vs Olimpia Milano on December 15. He’s still unable to fully practice with the rest of the team and will, therefore, stay out for now.

Calathes is averaging 13.9 points, 7.9 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game, leading his team in scoring and assists. He’s also the EuroLeague assists leader.

Panathinaikos is 10 – 4 while Valencia stands at 3-11. The Spaniards will look to snap a 10-game losing streak (the worst in EuroLeague) while PAO is searching for its fourth straight victory.
