As the Serbian news outlet “Basketball Sphere” has reported, Panathinaikos expressed interest in getting Toko Shengelia from Baskonia.

The Spanish club is ready to negotiate a buyout, however, it remains to be seen if the talks will proceed or not. In theory, Panathinaikos was in the market in order to add a center, however, it’s obvious that a player with Shengelia’s quality can help the Greens achieve their goals.

For the moment the talks are in a more than early stage and Shengelia will be eligible to play for Panathinaikos in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague after the 15th round of the regular season.
