Ataman: “It’d be a big risk if McCollum played”

Coach Ataman clarified as to why Erick McCollum did not play against Panathinaikos, while commenting on the 4-12 Efes record.

After the game against Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens coach Ergin Ataman answered questions about Josh Adams‘ status in the team and why Erick McCollum did not play.

Coach Ataman on McCollum’s injury and if he will be out for a long time: “No, he had on the last game this hamstring injury, and we tried to play him in the morning and the medical staff told me it will be a big risk for this game. I’m hoping that he will play next game”

His comments on Josh Adams, who had a season-high 20 points tonight: “I think that this was the last game that he played with us because he will most probably sign with another club tomorrow. We brought Toney Douglas

He was also questioned if Euroleague is over for Efes: “No, until the mathematical chance, we will fight every game, think day by day, and move forward. I took the team just three games back. we have won one game in this period, but we will try and do.”
