Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens defeated Anadolu Efes Istanbul to remain undefeated at home, with an 8-0 record.

After the game, Eurohoops caught up with Matt Lojeski answering a couple of questions regarding his individual goals, but also on the team’s success this year, especially in Athens.

Panathinaikos‘ experienced forward commented on his personal goal for 2018: “I just want to stay healthy the whole season. I have had problems in the past, a couple of seasons. I want to help the team win”

The 32-year old, on Panathinaikos‘ 8-0 home record: “We are playing in front of our fans, we always have a good atmosphere here, we feel the energy, we play comfortably at home, and every game we shoot the ball really well, especially from beyond the arc.”

Finally, he shared his thoughts on Nick Calathes and the great season he is having so far, while also influencing his teammates. “I mean obviously, he is our leader. He has been playing well. He is our best creator, he brings energy, he helps the team in every way, rebounding, assisting and scoring, doing everything on the court. He reads the defense well, and I hope that he keeps playing this way. I’m happy he is back on the court after his injury”.
