Thanks to Alexey Shved’s performance Khimki Moscow Region defeated Brose Bamberg on the road and after the game coach, Trinchieri took the center of the stage with his post-game comments.

Coach Andrea Trinchieri’s comments on the game: “It was a very tough game. A lot of instant replays and unsportsmanlike fouls. We played with great passion, I’m just sorry for our players because we played a good game. They scored some crazy shots in the end, and I believe the difference was there. The teams were equal, fought until the end, we had 45 rebounds, fought for every loose ball, we made some mistakes but when you play with high energy this is what will happen. The team did not melt down, played until the end, down seven, we came back and we shot to tie five times. I’m sorry for my players because they really played hard. If we play like this moving forward, we will be successful.”

On the other hand, coach Georgios Bartzokas’ also commented on the game, giving credit to his players and the team’s defense: “I have to admit, it was a great win on the road for us. We know that this new format is very difficult. There are 16 strong teams in the EuroLeague and so it’s hard to win, especially on the road. The key tonight our was our defense in the second half, as we allowed just 28 points, even though Bamberg had 26 in just the first quarter. We were solid on the defensive end, even though we missed some good opportunities and shots. We won the game against a team that plays with experience. I have to give credit to our players.”
