Fenerbahce Dogus got the comfortable win in Valencia after an impressive last quarter and Zeljko Obradovic seemed pleased with the victory:

The game started in a very positive way heading 15-0 in the beginning of the game. It was obvious that Valencia would try to come back in the game”.

“Our third quarter was very bad and this is happening to my team a lot of times during the season. I really try to understand why we have so many up and downs. The game has some key moments. For example, a good defense or a good shot changes the game. We haven’t changed the approach, but the reaction of the players was different. We started to play better defense and we tried to understand how Valencia was defending. In the last quarter, moving the ball we found open shots. If you get it or not, it’s not the players’ job, it’s the coach’s (he laughed). It works that way”.

Valencia’s head coach Txus Vidorretad also shared his thoughts on the game:

We played great basketball for 20 minutes but in the last quarter, we missed some open shots we made turnovers and our rhythm defensively changed. That was the key. Sloukas is one of the most important point guards of European basketball and he controlled the timing in the last quarter“.
