Aziz Yildirim, Chairman of Fenerbahce’s board, denies the rumour mill of a reported phone call with Dimitris Giannakopoulos.

By Eurohoops team / info@eurohoops.net

The announcement reads: “The allegations about our president Aziz Yildirim’s insulting Dimitris Giannakopoulos, owner of Panathinaikos, and warning him not to come to Istanbul in a phone call is not true. The two sides never had a phone call and all the dialogues in the post that leaked into the press are totally fake. We ask the public not to give credit for such false reports.”

In addition to that, Fenerbahce executives note to Eurohoops: “The two clubs have a really good relationship. There was no incident in the court or in the stands in the match played in Istanbul”.
