Valencia Basket defeated Khimki Moscow Region in a close contest in Spain. For coach Giorgos Bartzokas, his team must improve on the road to get more wins: “It was an interesting and tough game for both teams, both had the chance to win the game. Basically, we lost because our offense at the end wasn’t good. We took some shots without any patience. During the game, we had always chances to score easy baskets or open threes. At the end, we stopped doing this and we gave the chance to Valencia to make crucial baskets to win the game. One conclusion that we can have, especially in the road games you have to look better if you want to win. We lost our concentration at the end and we executed badly at the end“.

On the other hand, Txus Vidorreta was concerned about Sam Van Rossom’s injury: “For us, the injury of Sam Van Rossom is another great problem, but the spirit of these players is unbelievable. Alberto Abalde, Fernando San Emeterio, Joan Sastre, Erick Green, Rafa Martinez led the team today to this important win for Sam. It is very difficult, but we are alive. But we need to keep learning, and especially recover players.
