Zalgiris Kaunas’ offense was clicking against Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv and the Lithuanian side enjoyed a 99-94 victory. After the game coach, Saras Jasikevicius and Neven Spahija shared their thoughts on the game.
Neven Spahija thought Zalgiris played a great game and they deserved this win: “First of all I’d like to say that Europe can be proud of this environment here in Lithuania. As of the game, they (Zalgiris) played an amazing game, they scored (correct me if I’m wrong) a season-high in three points. If one team scores so many three-pointers, with such high percentage it is very difficult to defeat them. We have to get back home, prepare for the next game, we are still fighting for the playoffs but tonight Zalgiris was the better team.”
On the other hand, Saras Jasikevicius was happy with the team’s offense but not pleased with the defense: “Congratulations to everyone for the win. Offensively we had a good game, defensively not too much, especially in the first half, but we managed to pull it off and that’s the most important thing.”
