Panathinaikos empowered its frontcourt for the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague stretch run by signing center Adreian Payne for the remainder of the season.

This will be the first time playing in Europe for Payne (2.11 meters, 26 years old), who had split this season between Orlando in the NBA and Lakeland in the D-League.

The player averaged 4.2 points and 1.8 rebounds with Orlando and 13.3 points and 8.1 boards with Lakeland. Payne previously played for Atlanta and Minnesota in the NBA and Austin, Fort Wayne and Erie in the D-League.

On the 26th of January, the Orlando Magic have waived Payne due to the crisis at Michigan State. Payne was part of an ESPN report, detailing sexual assault allegations against former Spartans.
