Panathinaikos announced that the game against arch-rival Olympiacos for Round 24 of the EuroLeague Regular Season is already sold out. That’s with 18 days to go before the match is held on March 2, mind you.

This is something outstanding since not only there are more than two weeks until the clash but also considering the fact that the capacity of OAKA arena is around 18.000 spectators.

Per the official announcement of the club, the sold-out shows “the loyalty, love, and dedication of the fans towards the team.”

The match in Piraeus for the first leg of the EuroLeague Regular Season had Panathinaikos emerging victorious 70 – 62 behind 15 points by James Gist and 14 by Lukas Lekavicius. Janis Strelnieks had 18 for Olympiacos.

After 22 games in the EuroLeague Regular Season, Olympiacos stands at a 15 – 7 record while Panathinaikos is 14 – 8.
