After the loss of his team to Olympiacos tonight (2/3), Panathinaikos owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos expressed his complaints regarding the officiating of the game and the calls of referee Damir Javor, in particular.

“I am sure that Damir Javor won a spot in the Final Four of the competition, by faithfully following the orders given by EuroLeague,” Giannakopoulos said.

Giannakopoulos was present at OAKA arena, as expected, despite a ban from “all arenas where EuroLeague Basketball games are held” that EuroLeague has imposed on him. He was originally sanctioned with a 12-month ban following a series of controversial Instagram posts but the appeals judge later modified the penalty to a 5-month ban plus a fine of 60.000 euros.
