FC Barcelona Lassa had one of their best games of the season and defeated Crvena Zvezda 88 – 54. Red Star couldn’t give a big birthday present winning on the road to their coach, Dusan Alimpijevic, who turned 32.

Ante Tomic (16 points and 4 assists) was the one that received a gift. Pau Ribas gave a perfect behind-the-back pass to the Croatian who literally destroyed the glass with a dunk. The crowd enjoyed along with the players the crazy play of the night. The “Blaugranas” have nothing to lose and their game doesn’t bore the fans to death anymore.

Svetislav Pesic has changed the negative trend. The head coach has found the defensive commitment that Sito Alonso missed. The attitude, the desire and the ability to read the rival offense are different in Barcelona. The game was already decided at the break (45 – 24) but Barcelona destroyed the guests 26 – 5 in the last quarter.

Pau Ribas led all scorers with 18 points and also added 6 assists. Petteri Koponen contributed with 16 points for Barca while Taylor Rochestie led Zvezda in scoring with 13.

Barcelona is finishing its “second pre-season” and this Sunday (11/3) they have another Spanish Classic, while the Serbian side is practically out of options to qualify for the playoffs.
