Last season Pero Antic made a bet with Gigi Datome that he would cut the glorious, bushy hair of the Italian forward if Fenerbahce won the EuroLeague.
No long after the end of the Final against Olympiacos and with the Fenerbahce celebrating the first EuroLeague title in the history of the franchise and Turkish basketball, Antic decided to collect. And his now former teammate learned a rather valuable lesson from this… grueling hair-cutting experience:
“Ι wish he was still with us to make some bet. But I also learned to not bet with Pero. He doesn’t have much hair so we can let him keep the beard,” Datome joked ahead of Thursday’s (22/3) game against Antic’s Crvena Zvezda.
Pero doesn’t seem afraid of risking his beard. “Bring him here! We can bet!”
