Following the huge win over Anadolu Efes last week when FC Barcelona Lassa scored 107 points, the Spanish side had another great offensive night, which propelled them to win over Khimki Moscow Region 86-82 in the last round of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague regular season.

Despite being out of the playoffs picture, Barcelona made a statement with two wins in the last two rounds of the regular season. They finished with an 11-19 record while Khimki hangs on a 16-14 and the eight spot in the standings.

Juan Carlos Navarro led Barcelona by scoring 17 which was his season-high followed by Thomas Heurtels’ 14 points on a 5-6 shooting from the field and 5 assists.

It was one-sided affair right from the beginning, as the hosts felt the heat early on. It was raining in the first quarter as Barcelona made 6 three-pointers. The hosts shot 12/19 from the field in that period and also got four offensive rebounds building a 13 points lead (31-18) and never looking back.

The Spanish side was close to Montepaschi Siena’s record in made three-pointers in one game with 17 made. The team coached by Svetislav Pesic had a 20 points lead during the second quarter (45-25), but Khimki was able to cut it down to 9 points (54-45) after the first half. However, they couldn’t push more for a comeback.

Anthony Gill had a game-high 21 points for Khimki and Alexey Shved added 15 points and 8 assist, but it wasn’t enough.
