After losing Game 1 to Panathinaikos and also the duel against Nick Calathes, Luka Doncic and Real Madrid are ready to bounce back.

And while one of the subplots of the series is the head-to-head contest between Nick Calathes and Doncic, who are both candidates for the MVP award, Real Madrid wunderkind is focused on going to Belgrade: “I don’t really care about the MVP award right now, the only thing I care about is going to the Final Four, to Belgrade”.

Speaking about reacting to the duo of Calathes and Mike James, Doncic agreed that Madrid should give them a taste of their own medicine: “I think that both Calathes and James are amazing players and now we have to put a lot of pressure on them so, that’s our plan for Game 2”.

However, Doncic didn’t have an explanation about the 20-0 start of Panathinaikos in Game 1: “I don’t know. I just know that we shouldn’t start like this. It’s only 1-0, so we need to change our mentality and think about Game 2. It’s the same thing if we lose by 30, or by one”.
