Khimki objected to EuroLeague about Game 4 vs. CSKA Moscow and the competition’s officials examined the case.

At the end of the fourth game of the Euroleague playoff series against CSKA Moscow, Khimki sent a complaint to the Euroleague office, in which the club asked to clarify the last attack of the game and Charles Jenkins’ basket which didn’t count.

Following this complaint, EuroLeague sent the official verdict to the Russian club, which reads as follows:

“After analyzing all the reports, we confirm that Tyler Honeycutt asked for a replacement at the 20.7 seconds mark before the end of the fourth quarter. Since the request was not canceled, the sound signal sounded correctly at the first possible replacement, 5.1 seconds before the end of the fourth quarter. The referees did not immediately hear the sound signal, so the head referee started the time, unaware of the request for replacement. Once the timekeeper was able to draw the referees’ attention to the request for a replacement, they correctly stopped the time and then used the IRS system to set the correct time on the clock. The home team refused to perform the substitution after it was offered to do so. To avoid further delays, the referees decided to resume the game without making a replacement.”
