A Final Four in my country is something special for me“, Zeljko Obradovic explained to Eurohoops when asked about the fact that if he wins, he will have 10 EuroLeague trophies, one more than Real Madrid which is the club that has won the competition more times than any other.

That’s why in a typical Zoc way, he is not thinking anything else than the next game: “My mind is only in the semifinal against Zalgiris. Nothing else“.

The key point was to understand that Ekpe Udoh and Bogdan Bogdanovic left for the NBA, other players left and we signed five new players and right now we are happy because all our moves were correct“, said the Serbian mastermind talking about the new approach of his team towards the season.

Obradovic is related with all other three Final Four coaches. He was the head coach of Sarunas Jasikevicius in Panathinaikos and of Pablo Laso in Real Madrid. And of course, he worked with CSKA Moscow‘s Dimitris Itoudis for 13 years, when the Greek coach was his assistant in Panathinaikos. “I am happy they will all be in the Final Four“, admits Obradovic who speaking about Saras added: “It’s not a surprise for me that Sarunas is in this position. I believe all the greats players have the opportunity to be great coaches, it’s a matter of timing and the right opportunity“.

Here’s what Fenerbahce Dogus coach Zeljko Obradovic had to say about his team, Fenerbahce‘s fans, David Blatt, Panathinaikos, Dimitris Giannakopoulos and more.
