BELGRADΕ – Mirsad Turkcan, who is in Belgrade as an ambassador for Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four, talked to Eurohoops after the press conference.
“It’s great to be here as a EuroLeague legend. Me and Ibrahim Kutluay, we are here not only for ourselves but also for Turkey. And there is a Turkish team in the Final Four so that makes us even happier. I hope Fenerbahce Dogus will be in the EuroLeague history after this Final Four, I think that they are going to be back to back champions. That will show how good of a team they are. They have a chance like that. I hope we will beat Zalgiris Kaunas in the semifinals and wait for the opponent”, Turkcan said.
“But no matter who will be the opponent in the final, I believe Fenerbahce is the favorite. Sometimes it would be bad to be favorite in those kinds of tournaments but I believe Zeljko Obradovic will balance that greatly. I hope Fenerbahce will win the cup and return to Turkey with the trophy”, he concludes.
