BELGRADE – – Last night the NBA official Twitter account did a coverage and also posted the highlights of potential No. 1 pick Luka Doncic’s game-winning performance in the EuroLeague semifinal victory of Real Madrid over CSKA Moscow.
That was something unprecedented for a European player, even someone who is a frontrunner for the top pick in the Draft. So it’s only natural that the Slovenian wunderkind felt quite excited about it.
Doncic finished the match with 16 points plus seven rebounds and two assists. It was the best EuroLeague Final Four performance by a player under 20 years.
“NBA is an amazing league. It’s the best league in the world. It’s amazing,” Doncic told Eurohoops when asked if he considers the coverage of NBA as a form of reward.
“I’m just focused on the Final Four. When the NBA thing comes…I’ll decide about it,” he also said regarding his jump to the best league on the planet.
Doncic’s mentality has been praised by teammates and opponents alike. So what is mindset going into the Euroleague Final, the most crucial game of the season? “I want to enjoy the game. I want to be here with my team. And I’m really proud to be here.”
