BELGRADE – Coach Itoudis didn’t hide his feeling of disappointment at the post-game press-conference that followed CSKA‘s loss.
“We had fought all season, we had a lot of adversities, but that’s not an excuse. Everybody is now mad and frustrated. Still, we showed our spirit, we fought until the end“, the Greek coach mentioned.
Itoudis compared CSKA to one of this season’s finalists, Real Madrid: “What happened to us this year, happened to Madrid last season. Real was dominant in the regular season, just like we were, but lost two games in Istanbul and lost the ACB League finals with homecourt advantage.”
