BELGRADE – Pablo Laso commented on the difficulties the Spanish team faced all season long and how they managed to overcome them in the post-game press conference.
“How to describe it, great, great, great, because it’s not only today, it’s the whole year through. The team stayed together. People in, people out. A lot of problems all year. We stayed together. We kept on fighting and getting better day by day.”
Of course, the feeling of returning to the pinnacle of European Basketball makes Laso happy: “Right now I am just really proud of my players getting this trophy. It’s just unbelievable. It’s hard to think about what to say. I am really happy about the people in Madrid watching on TV and for the people who came here. Real Madrid is a great club. We just kept fighting.”
