BELGRADE – In the official press conference after winning the EuroLeague title and the MVP award with Real Madrid, Doncic was asked if he is about to continue the legacy of ex-Yugoslavian players in the NBA.
“I will decide soon, but now I am focused on celebrating”, he said with a smile, avoiding the question. “When the time comes about the NBA I will decide”.
Speaking about the EuroLeague title and Real Madrid, Doncic added: “It feels amazing. Everybody is asking me how it feels but I just don’t have any words. I still can’t believe it. It’s incredible. I have amazing teammates and coach, Pablo Laso. I have amazing doctors and physiotherapists. It’s pretty easy to play with this team”.
However, Doncic already made a historic feat at the youngest MVP in the history of the EuroLeague and his teammate, Rudy Fernandez, admitted that next season it seems more than possible for Doncic to play in the NBA.
