Zalgiris Kaunas won the third place in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four in Belgrade after knocking down CSKA Moscow in the battle for the third place. Despite not lifting the trophy the fans in Lithuania welcomed Zalgiris‘ players like true heroes. It was a hell of the season for Zalgiris in the Euroleague and Monday was time for celebration and parade.
The fans were waiting at the airport to see their legends as soon as possible. The celebration was continued with a bus ride to the downtown where more people were waiting to celebrate with Jasikevicus and his players.
This is the biggest success of Zalgiris since 1999 when they won the Euroleague and fans gave their best to make sure players remember it for the rest of their lives as this was could be perhaps the best celebration ever for the third place.
