With the playoffs of the domestic leagues getting in their final or semifinal stage, three spots are still open for next season’s EuroLeague and nine teams still have a chance to get them.

At this point, three spots remain open and in the next few weeks, all the EuroLeague contestants for the 2018-19 season will be decided.

There’s one open spot from the VTB United League which will be decided in the first ever Final Four of the competition. CSKA Moscow – which has already secured its EuroLeague spot – alongside Khimki Moscow Region, Zenit St. Petersburg and the winner of the Unics Kazan versus Nizhny Novgorod will fight for it. The VTB champion will get the spot, or the finalist in case CSKA Moscow wins the title.

In the German BBL, the winner of the finals between Bayern Munich and ALBA Berlin will get the second open EuroLeague spot.

In the third spot which will be decided in the Spanish Liga Endesa, things are a bit more complicated. With Barcelona in danger of missing the semifinals, Andorra (6th in the regular season), Gran Canaria (5th in the regular season) and Valencia (4th in the regular season) are on the race for the big prize. Andorra needs to get all the way to the finals or win the league in order to get the EuroLeague spot.

Valencia and Gran Canaria are facing each other in the playoffs quarterfinals. Whoever gets to the semifinals will have the advantage over Andorra if they both get in the same stage of the playoffs and finish their season without getting to the finals or winning the league.
