Despite the reported interest about Sarunas Jasikevicius, at this point, it’s certain that 68-year-old Svetislav Pesic will remain in FC Barcelona Lassa, probably as the head coach.
Pesic tried to turn around the season of Barcelona and won the “Copa Del Rey”. That seems to be enough for him in order to get the vote of confidence by the club’s management. There’s still a slight chance that Pesic will be a technical advisor and not the head coach.
However, if this happens, it seems highly unlikely that Sarunas Jasikevicius will be hired, after the comments that Pesic allegedly made about him.
In any case, changes are expected in the roster. Kevin Pangos is ready to move to the Spanish powerhouse and Petteri Koponen, despite having one year left on his contract, is not expected to be part of the roster next season.
