Two EuroLeague powerhouses are going to do “battle” for Joffrey Lauvergne.

San Antonio Spurs forward/center Joffrey Lauvergne has received offers by both CSKA Moscow and Fenerbahce according to Eurohoops sources. The two EuroLeague powerhouses are in search for a quality big and have already expressed their interest to the French player.

Lauvergne is close to taking a definite decision of not opting in his 1.6 million option he has in his contract with the San Antonio Spurs in order continue his career in Europe and return to EuroLeague. The 26-year-old had been considering the possibility of returning to Europe, given that he would receive attractive offers.

Both Fenerbahce and CSKA are clubs able to bring lucrative proposals on Lauvergne’s table plus the prospect of winning the EuroLeague title since they are both contenders.

In 2017-2018, his fourth season in the NBA, Lauvergne averaged 4.1 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.

The interest of Fenerbahce and CSKA Moscow for Lauvergne was first reported by Ismail Senol.
