The meeting between Kostas Papanikolaou’s agent and Olympiacos, which was sheduled since last week, ended without any kind of agreement between the two sides.
The talks proved to be quite short, the offer made by Olympiacos was pretty low compared to the demands of the player and the question is if anything can change in the following days.
Still, Olympiacos wants to keep Papanikolaou, the player would like to stay and coach David Blatt already contacted him and explained him his role for the upcoming season. However, at this point there’s a big financial gap between the two sides.
Meanwhile, Papanikolaou is in talks with NBA teams and if the negotiations with Olympiacos fall apart, it’s obvious that other EuroLeague teams will also make their moves in order to lure him.
