Khimki Moscow head coach Giorgos Bartzokas couldn’t find the words to express his grief regarding his player’s death.

The news of Tyler Honeycutt being reportedly found dead in Los Angeles after a shootout with the police have shocked the basketball world. Honeycutt’s most recent head coach, Giorgos Bartzokas of Russian club Khimki Moscow was at loss for words with his player’s death.

“I am sorry I cannot talk right now, I am really sad,” Bartzokas said when asked to comment on Honeycutt per Victor Lavagnini of TV3 and Catalonia Radio.

Bartzokas coached Honeycutt during the 2017-2018 season in EuroLeague and VTB League and would also coach the American forward in the upcoming season if not for the tragic incident that took place this morning (7/7).
