The death of Tyler Honeycutt sent shockwaves through the world of European basketball… and not only.

Players, clubs, and leagues related to (and not only) European basketball expressed their condolences for the loss of 27-year-old American forward Tyler Honeycutt, once the news of his death was confirmed.

Among them, his former teammates with Efes Cedi Osman, Furkan Korkmaz and Dogus Balbay, three-time EuroLeague champion Kyle Hines and 2017 EuroLeague MVP Sergio Llull. EuroLeague Basketball, that changed its logo from orange to black on Twitter, also wrote a message for the player’s loss.

“We are deeply saddened by the unexpected loss of our former player Tyler Honeycutt. Anadolu Efes expresses condolences to his family and friends,” wrote Efes.
