Baskonia officially signed American wing Shavon Shields to a two-year contract, the club announced. The 24-year-old player is expected to replace Janis Timma on the roster of the Basques.
By joining Baskonia, Shields makes the jump to EuroLeague for the first time in his career. He will also debut in the Spanish ACB League.
Shields comes off a breakthrough season with Dolomiti Energia Trento in Italy where he averaged 14.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game in Lega A.
