DJ Strawberry, the former player of Besiktas and of Olympiacos, signed with Gran Canaria for the upcoming season.
The 58th pick of the 2007 NBA draft, returns to EuroLeague where he played as a member of Olympiacos. The 33 years old player has a long career which includes 34 NBA games with the Phoenix Suns and stops all around Europe with Fortitudo Bologna (Italy), Lietuvos Rytas (Lithuania), Hapoel Jerusalem (Israel), Cibona (Croatia), Pau Orthez (France), Pinar Karsiyaka in Turkey where he won the championship title and also Olympiacos and Besiktas.
To be exact, he spent the last two seasons in Besiktas, averaging last year 13 points, 4.6 assists and 3.4 rebounds in the FIBA Champions League and 12.4 points, 3.8 assists and 3.3 rebounds in the Turkish competition.
