All-Basketball Champions League forward Chris Evans will be signing with Spanish EuroLeague club Gran Canaria, his now former team Monaco announced.

Monaco tried to keep Evans on board but the prospect of competing in EuroLeague led the player to the exit door of the French club and en route to Gran Canaria, per the announcement of the Monegasques.

During the 2017-2018 season, Evans averaged 13.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists in Basketball Champions League, leading Monaco to the Final. The 27-year-old player was named to the competition’s Star Lineup.

Evans also made headlines as one of the most spectacular players in last season’s BCL, often leading the weekly Top 10.

With Gran Canaria, Evans will make his EuroLeague and ACB debut.
