The result doesn’t mean much at this point, however, it’s always good to win and Barcelona was defeated in its first pre-season game by longtime Catalan rival Joventut Badalona.
The final score was 65-62 in a game played at Sant Julia de Vilatorta. Kevin Pangos and Rolands Smits with 10 points each were the top scorers of Barcelona, while Mathias Dakota with 16 points and Shawn Dawson with 15 were the top scorers of the winning side.
Still, it’s a good morale boost for Joventut and also a sign that Barcelona still has a lot of work to be done during the pre-season, especially considering their 20 turnovers. Barcelona was missing Kevin Seraphin and Adam Hanga, however also Quincy Miller and Simon Birgander of Joventut missed the game.
