Baskonia continue cruising during preseason. Their latest “victim”? Candelas Breogan that were defeated 83 – 62 by the Basques.
Coach Pedro Martinez’s team was down 34 – 31 at halftime but was particularly powerful in the third quarter which was won by the decisive 32 – 6.
Baskonia newcomer Darrun Hilliard scored 15 points and dished out four assists. Johannes Voigtmann had 14 points plus five rebounds while Shavon Shields and Tornike Shengelia dropped 11 points apiece.
Shengelia also displayed some playmaking skills…

Christian Diaz scored 15 and Emir Sulejmanovic had 12 points plus nine rebounds for Breogan.
In another ACB preseason game held today (7/9), Murcia defeated Gran Canaria 90 – 81.
