Zalgiris Kaunas made the 2/2 in the “Gloria Cup” preseason tournament by defeating Anadolu Efes 83 – 79 and advancing to the Final.
Like in the win over Tofas Bursa, Brandon Davies once again led Zalgiris‘ scorers with 16 points. Arturas Milaknis added 14 points (4/5 threes) and Nate Walters had 13 points, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
For Efes, Rodrigue Beaubois scored 22 points, Adrien Moerman 15 and James Anderson 14.
Zalgiris entered the game in a dynamic fashion and even got a 21-point lead, 36 – 15. Efes managed to close halftime down by 11, 44 – 33. The Lithuanian League champions endured though and got the win in the end.
