Dinamo Sassari snapped winning streak of Olimpia Milano in preseason with a 94 – 76 in the second semifinal of the “City of Cagliari” tournament. The team from Sardinia will face Limoges in the Final while there will be a “EuroLeague” battle between Milano and Fenerbahce for the third place.
Terran Petteway (16 points) and Jack Cooley (15 points, 10 rebounds) led Sassari all the way to the title game. Stefano Gentile also contributed 14 points and Scott Bamforth 11 plus seven assists.
A sensational Mike James dropped 29 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished out four assists for Milano that suffered its first loss following four consecutive wins.
