Caleb Green stole the spotlight leading Avellino to a pre-season win against Darussafaka.

Darussafaka Tekfen has played most games in the pre-season among the EuroLeague teams, a total of 11 including today’s match against Sidigas Avellino in which the Italian team won 81-78. This makes Darussafaka’s record 10-3 in the preparation period.

It was a fairly balanced game during the first half with Avellino having an upper hand (42-38) but Darussafaka had trouble containing Caleb Green.  He was the one leading a crucial 8-0 run for the Italian team with seven minutes left putting them ahead 75-60. However, Ahmet Cakir’s timeout changed the situation and Darussafaka came dangerously close to Avellino (78-77) but couldn’t make the final step as the free throw exchange in the final minute went the Italians’ way.
