The presence of EuroLeague CEO Jordi Bertomeu in the honorary gala for the “Pavlos Giannakopoulos” tournament is just the tip of the iceberg.

Outspoken owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos and Bertomeu are burying the hatchet and as the local EuroLeague television right-holder in Greece “Novasports” reported first, the latest fines and sanctions against Giannakopoulos might be frozen and put on hold.

The whole situation is being reviewed and evaluated, Giannakopoulos already released a statement by which he clarifies that he supports the EuroLeague and until proven otherwise, everything that happened between the two sides during last season is a thing of the past.

It has to be noted that many of the fines imposed to Giannakopoulos and Panathinaikos during last season have been already paid and only after the end of the legal process it will be clear which are the sanctions that will be put on hold.
