The General Manager of Fenerbahce talked to the Greek press ahead of the Pavlos Giannakopoulos Tournament. Mr. Gherardini spoke highly of the late pillar of the Greens whom, in his own words, is “fortunate and privileged to have met”.
“He is definitely among the people that made the European basketball what it is today. He contributed decisively to the ideas he had and made Panathinaikos a superpower, gathering players and coaches who made history. His loss is great for all of us because we know his importance and what he offered to European basketball”, mentioned Gherardini.
